Up to 20 Malian soldiers killed in attack on military base | News

At least 20 Malian soldiers have been killed in an armed attack, local politicians and a military official said, in the latest bout of violence in the West African nation. PARIS — A man wielding a knife attacked residents of a French town while they ventured out to shop amid a nationwide coronavirus lockdown Saturday, killing two people and wounding five others in an act that led authorities to open a terrorism inquiry. A Georgia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to planning a terrorist attack on the White House using weapons and explosives.
