H-E-B named a top workplace for military Veterans
WACO, TEXAS — Just this year, H-E-B hired over 1,600 veterans and 1,000 military spouses. Now, the company has just been named a top place to work for military veterans by Indeed.
H-E-B ranked #4 on the top ten list. The rankings are based on employee reviews and employer ratings, with one employee writing that H-E-B is “by far the best place I have worked at since retiring from the military.”
H-E-B honors veterans through a multitude of programs and initiatives, including hosting 325 Veterans Receptions just last year to honor employees who have served.
The company also sent H-E-B holiday care packages to over 600 employees currently serving.
“Active duty military members, Veterans, and their families help make this a special place to work. We’re honored to call them Partners and we thank them for carrying the torch of liberty in service to the nation,” said Winell Herron, H-E-B Group Vice President of Public Affairs, Diversity and Environmental Affairs.
H-E-B’s commitment to Veterans extends far and wide.
The company has built 30 homes now all across Texas, fully furnished and mortgage-free, for Veterans who have been severely injured in our nation’s service.
“At H-E-B, we recognize the courage and sacrifices of those called to serve our country on Veterans Day and throughout the year,” said Herron.
