NCI Information Systems has secured a contract for the provision of information technology (IT) support to the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Joint Service Provider (JSP).

The four-year JSP Information Technology Support Services – Service Delivery (ITSS-SD) contract was awarded by the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) and has a ceiling value of $269.9m.

Under the contract, NCI will focus on simplifying operations and delivering improved efficiencies by implementing best practices from the industry.

NCI will help users understand JSP’s existing operating environment.

The company will also assist the JSP in the management of the enterprise IT infrastructure of the US Department of Defense (DoD).

NCI president and CEO Paul Dillahay said: “NCI is proud to support this critical mission and we look forward to delivering on our commitment of people first to meet JSP’s vision.

“We will implement new and innovative technologies, including our NCI Shai framework, to reduce administrative burden, automate repetitive tasks and share knowledge across the enterprise that will enable our team to deliver unparalleled support to JSP customers.”

The company will carry out work at several places in the National Capital Region, including the Pentagon, Mark Center and Crystal City in Virginia, US. Work is expected to be completed by 29 July 2023.

Dillahay added: “With NCI’s Shai, our team now has digital teammates working for them, and JSP will benefit from one of the first federal AI-enabled service desk capabilities.

“Our team of highly trained and motivated professional personnel, combined with AI-powered tools, will shift employees’ time and efforts from low-value to high-value work, allowing the JSP organisation to focus on solving the most pressing, mission‑critical challenges they face.”
