COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Giving back to heroes. That’s the idea behind Brides Across America and Something New Boutique is helping out in Colorado Springs.
Brides Across America is celebrating its 11th year of giving back by supporting our heroes, honoring veterans, active military and first responders with Operation Wedding Gown. This year they will be rolling out a new campaign called “United in Love” to honor our servicemen and women’s sacrifices.
Something New Boutique in Colorado Springs is giving away about 30 wedding dresses to those who qualify, ranging in value from about $1,000 to $4,000, according to the store’s owner Mindi Linscombe.
Military and first responders who have served our country over the past five years qualify for a free wedding gown. Brides are required to bring supporting documentation the day of the event such as a valid work ID or proof of service.
