– Jean-Francois La Perrouse (1741 – 1788?) – Journey from Perugia around the world. Paris: The Printing Office of the Republic, 1797. A handsome first edition on blue paper with text vols bound in red morocco of “one of the finest narratives of maritime exploration ever written” (Howell). Estimate: € 6,000 – € 9,000 ($6,900 – 10,350)

Both texts with beautiful decorated initials engraved in wood, text printed in red on the first page, c1v and e2v of the first work, and the incipit of the second (some slight blooms and spots of moisture, 2 tiny little holes that touch the text without damaging it to the first card).
