Iron Fist Season 2 Episode 10 Recap
Iron Fist season 2 episode 10 picks up immediately where the previous episode ended. The ritual to transfer the heart of the dragon from Davos to Colleen is not complete. Both possess the power of the Iron Fist. If the ritual is not completed, both will die. If one is killed before the ritual is completed, the other will die as well.
“There Is a Duality in Everything”
Davos fights his way out of Danny and Colleen’s apartment and heads back to his headquarters to regroup, only to find Walker waiting for him, firing at Davos from on high. Unable to let Walker kill Davos, Danny and Misty battle Walker while Davos and Colleen fight to be the one to complete the ritual and possess the power of the Iron Fist. With Walker out of the way, Danny and Colleen double-team Davos and complete the ritual. After the battle, Davos tells Danny that the legacy that Davos leaves behind are the people who have been inspired to carry on his crusade.
“You Disappointed Someone, What Else Is New?”
Ward rides along in the ambulance with Joy. Ward goes through the NA steps, attempting to make amends with the sister he has hurt for years. Following that, Ward attends a NA meeting where, for the first time, he speaks and bares his soul to the group in an effort to win back Bethany. Bethany, however, has to look out for 2 now and can’t add taking care of Ward to that. Not knowing himself nor what his place is in the world, Ward jets away with Danny.
“We Are Cursed to Bring Darkness Into Everything We Touch”
Walker enters Joy’s apartment and finds Joy in the dark with a gun. Joy just wants to pay Walker and move on, but Walker leaves the money. She says that she’s going to slow-play Joy for favors instead, using Joy’s wealth and influence to get what she wants. Walker understands that there is another personality within her, one that freed her from Sokovia, that Joy doesn’t want to get on the bad side of.
“Knight-Wing, It’s Got a Little Ring to It”
Misty’s vacation is over. She has to head back to Harlem and decide whether to accept the promotion to captain or not. Misty hints at a potential “Daughters of the Dragon” team up. She also tells Colleen that the last time Misty saw Luke Cage, she didn’t like what she saw. Colleen is one of the few people with the ability to put a dent in the unbreakable man now that she has the Iron Fist.
“I’m Not Sure Where I End and It Begins”
With the power of the Iron Fist, Colleen sets out to help her community. At the community center, Colleen puts Mrs. Yang on notice that Colleen will be watching and expecting Yang to legitimize her business interests. Yang says that she will not tolerate interference from Colleen nor Danny in her business, putting the two sides in a delicate balance. Months later, not only has Colleen embraced her role as the Iron Fist, but can even channel her chi and her power into her katana.
“My Compassion Is a Choice”
Without the struggle for the heart of the dragon, Danny is lost. Cleaning up his and Colleen’s apartment, Danny discovers that the other side of the crest on Colleen’s box holds the mark of Shou Lao. Danny believes that Colleen is descended from the pirate queen, who was also the first female Iron Fist. Eager to learn more about the legacy of the Iron Fist, Danny and Ward jet off to Asia. Months later, Danny and Ward have finally found the crime boss who shipped the corpse of an Iron Fist to Davos. In the ensuing scuffle, Danny displays that not only has he regained the power of the Iron Fist, not only can he light up both fists, but he can channel his chi and the power into a pair of handguns and into the bullet they fire.
