Abe’s aide visits LKP

Kim Byong-joon, right, interim leader of Korea’s largest conservative Liberty Korea Party (LKP), shakes hands with Nikai Toshihiro, secretary general of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party at the National Assembly, Thursday. Toshihiro, a key aide to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, visited Korea to discuss ways to boost parliamentary exchanges, according to the LKP. Korean liberal parties have described the LKP as “the Korean branch” of the Japanese conservative party, citing their similarities in hard-line policies toward North Korea. Yonhap
