Police detain 16 participants in conflict in Odesa’s Glory Alley

ODESA – Police officers have detained 16 participants in a conflict in Odesa’s Glory Alley, which happened during the celebrations of the day of liberation of the city from fascist invaders.

“The police prevented the spread of the conflict, 16 active participants, representatives of various political forces and citizens who took part in the conflict have been detained,” the press service for the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region said in a report.

All detainees have now been taken to the city’s police units to provide explanations. Their actions can be classed as hooliganism, a crime proscribed in the Ukrainian Criminal Code, the press service said.
