The Guardian: Russia strikes provocative note for Eurovision in Ukraine

Russian Eurovision 2017 representative Yulia Samoylova, who uses a wheelchair to get around since childhood, has performed in Russian-occupied Crimea in 2015. The SBU is yet to make a decision on whether she will be allowed to enter Ukraine for the contest.

Russia has announced its musical entry for the Eurovision song contest, ending speculation that it might boycott the competition, which this year is being held in Ukraine.
