The situation has remained troubled in the Ukrainian military zone in Donbas since the midnight and during the day on March 8, with the Ukrainian army positions being shelled 12 times so far on March 8, the press service of the Ukrainian military said in report.
“In particular, soldiers of Avdiyivka in the Donetsk sector were shelled from automatic mounted grenade launchers, large-caliber machineguns and small arms, while the positions in Verkhniotoretske were fired on, using small arms,” the press center said in a summary report as of 18:00 local time on March 8 posted on its Facebook page.
In addition, Russian-backed separatists fired small arms on the Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne, Maryinka, Novotroitske, Starohnativka and Bohdanivka in the Mariupol sector, it said.
