Ukraine in 2016 purchased nuclear fuel worth a total of $548.81 million, which is 14.7 percent (or $94.761 million) less than in 2015.
According to the State Statistics Service, over the period Ukrainian nuclear power plants purchased Russian fuel for $386.782 million, fuel made in Sweden for $162.028 million.
Thus, the share of nuclear fuel purchases by Ukraine in 2016 from TVEL (Russia) accounted for 70.5 percent in monetary terms, from Westinghouse (Sweden) for 29.5 percent.
