Over the course of the year we’ve written a lot about great watches, and with good reason. Watches are fantastic accessories for everyday wear — a functional addition to your style that can compliment your overall look.
One place where we’ve directed readers for great deals on watches across the spectrum of style and price is Jomashop. The site offers a wide variety of brands at competitive prices, whether you're in the market for anything from Rolex to Citizen to Shinola and everything in between.
Since we’ve focused mainly on men’s watches this year at Insider Picks, we decided to ask Chaim Posen, marketing director at Jomashop, what the five best-selling women’s watches were on the site this year, to get a bit of perspective on what looks were popular in women’s fashion this year. You can find the results below.
If you’re in search of a new look for yourself, looking for a gift for your significant other, or simply curious as to what the most popular watches were for 2016, take a look below and see for yourself.
Editor's note: If you're considering dropping big money on a luxury watch, as with any other major purchase, be sure to compare prices and do some research first. While all of the watches are guaranteed to be 100% authentic, they do not come with a manufacturers warranty. If you have any concerns at all, you can view Jomashop's full warranty policy here.
I’ve always enjoyed the look of rose gold and it’s no surprise to me that such a watch would land at the top of the list for women’s looks as well. The fixed bezel is set with Swarovski crystals, providing a bit of glamour to the timepiece. Additionally, the watch is a chronograph with sub-dials displaying 60-second, 30-minute, and 24-hour intervals.
Skagen has been one of my favorite minimalist brands since I started writing about watches, and this women’s timepiece is another great example of what the brand does best. The striking, deep blue face gives character to the watch, with a stainless steel mesh bracelet providing a pleasant combination of colors.
While this all-gold look is a bit too bright for my taste, if you or the woman in your life has a taste for it, this is a great, undeniably bold option. The watch also features Movado’s well-known, minimalist display, with a single clear Swarovski crystal set at the 12 o’clock position.
